The world of The Witcher is described in great details in the books and the TV show does it justice by showing it exactly as it should – dirty and ugly, but at the same time stunningly gorgeous. Since I consider everything else to be 99% perfect with the game, the only correction I personally needed for my next playthrough(s) in 2020 after a year away from it – a graphics boost. If you have been playing lately some of the more beautifully-looking titles in the past couple of years, you might think The Witcher 3 did not age well. Now, after Netflix has released the first season of The Witcher TV Show, the video games get a fresh boost of interest from both returning veterans and new players looking to try out this so highly prized title. This Role-Playing game is a true masterpiece and beats any competition from years past and future in my own eyes.īack in the Summer of 2015 when I first started playing The Witcher 3 I thought it looked stunningly amazing. There is a lot of books and notes hidden in the game files, that normally can't be found using legitimate means, or are hidden beyond reason. Some of the books will be available for purchase from merchants such as the Novigrad book keeper or the Herbalist in White Orchard, while others are obtained by simply completing some story events. The new The Witcher 3 mod, the Advanced Witcher Book Collection mod, allows players to check out both hard to find and cut books. Some of these in-game books also cannot be obtained through regular means, but it's now possible to check all of them out easily thanks to a new mod. Being the biggest entry of the series, The Witcher 3 comes with plenty of additional books and notes which further flesh out the saga's world, but not all of them are easy to find. The world of The Witcher series is a very interesting world which CD Projekt RED has tried to flesh out as much as possible with features like in-game books and more.
